I just added a link in the sidebar under My Galleries titled Sketchbook Project 2011. The work isn’t very similar to what I’ve been doing lately, but I thought the project would be an entertaining exercise and a fun way to begin the year. My sketchbook will be included in a tour stopping in Brooklyn NY, Austin TX, San Francisco CA, Portland ME, Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, Washington DC, and Winter Park FL. My theme was Below the Surface. For the most part I simply painted on top of collaged pages of a 1971 copy of E.H. Gombrich’s, The Story of Art. It made sense to me at the time.
